My wish for this piece posted in Los Angeles Review of Books today is that Robin Williams and Les Plesko hadn’t given me cause to write it. Beyond that I hope it helps bring some understanding to the growing problem of suicide. For those possibly suffering the urge, I hope you’ll consider sticking around, as Dante wrote, “to see the stars again.”
